"Under recent events by the coronavirus in China, there are many traveling restrictions in particular for Chinese and Asian colleagues to attend the upcoming PBNC2020.

Under consensus of the member societies of the Pacific Nuclear Society has been decided to postpone The PBNC 2020, the new dates for the Conference are October 18th to 22th in the same location.

A new call for papers is issued for prospective new attendees that would like to submit their papers for consideration in this event. The ones that have already submitted their papers can continue with the process in a regular manner.

We hope by that time the disease has been fully controlled and traveling conditions are normalized."

The Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) conferences, held every two years, it is a regional cooperative forum to advance peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the Pacific Basin region.

The Mexican Nuclear Society (SNM) is pleased to host the 22th Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference under the auspices of the Pacific Nuclear Council. The conference will be held in the Hotel Marriot Cancun from October 18th to October 22th in Cancun, Mexico.

In a sustainability world, efficiency plays a very important role to care about world resources and its adequate use; therefore the theme of the conference is “Nuclear Energy a Driver for Sustainability”.
